Question 2 of 5
2. Question
2 pointsEven the environment attacks poor people. When nature strikes, the world’s poor suffer the most.
Poverty and the environment are closely connected, and those living below the poverty line are
deeply impacted by deforestation, lack of safe water and natural disasters.
Each year 26 million people fall into poverty due to natural disasters. Earthquakes, along with the
tsunamis they spawned, killed more people than all other types of disasters combined, claiming
nearly 750,000 lives between 1994 and 2013. Hurricanes have a devastating effect on poverty as
they slow development and cause a drop in employment. In particular, hurricanes cause a
decrease in development and a loss of GDP. In 1998, Hurricane Mitch caused 30 years of
decreased development in Honduras and Nicaragua.
Drought affected more than 1 billion people between 1994 and 2013, or 25% of the global
population. More than 40% of droughts were in Africa, indicating that lower-income countries are
still being overwhelmed by drought despite effective early warnings being in place.Which of the following is the most appropriate title from the above passage?

Correct Answer: A
Above passage discusses the environmental aspect of poverty. Option B talks about the impact of
disasters on humans while option C talks about the environmental inequality but it keeps it to the

Question 3 of 5
3. Question
2 pointsThe race for success and the rising cost of living has caused most of the urban strata to undergo
immense stress. Working long hours in a stressful environment and eating poorly itself has
physical symptoms such as insomnia, chest pains, and headaches. Often, individuals get trapped in
a cycle of stress, and when they reach their peak, it affects their family and friends since they do
not have a healthy outlet to express it.
A healthy work environment is one that prioritizes an employee’s well-being. Employers must
establish the importance of mental health and well-being, which will in turn help them achieve
better results. Healthy employees feel a strong connection to the workplace, which leads to
greater productivity, happiness, and loyalty among workers. Organizational well-being policies
help employees understand that they are not just a resource but also human beings, in whom the
organization is invested. Taking care of people is directly linked to how well an organization does
as an entity as well.
Allowing employees to work remotely when required, especially mothers, is an effective initiative
to alleviate the stress of long commute hours. This is especially true for companies with long work
hours, who often struggle to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life. Not
being able to rest on weekends and working extra can cause a person to become depressed and
lonely too. Sleep deprivation can lead to depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders.
Missing sleep can cause a person to feel lonely and isolated from the world around them, and have
trouble concentrating on things and have difficulty focusing on one task at hand.Which of the following reasons can be drawn that has caused rise in stress among the employees?
1. Poor diet during the office hours.
2. Long work hours due to loss caused by covid pandemic.
3. Poor work environment.
