The cheetah was declared extinct in India in 1952.

Kuno National Park

Located in Madhya Pradesh. Established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1981 and given national park status in 2018.
Mostly contain dry deciduous trees.
Was proposed as a site for introduction of Asiatic Lions.
