What are e-Sewa Kendras?

    • Visionary initiatives have been strategically introduced to bridge the digital divide, enabling lawyers and litigants to embrace the realm of e-filing services. Initially launched as a pilot project encompassing one District Court and all High Courts, this revolutionary concept is now rapidly expanding to encompass the entirety of court complexes nationwide.
    • Positioned at the entrance of these complexes, the e-Sewa Kendras are meticulously designed to cater to the diverse needs of lawyers and litigants, providing comprehensive assistance, information, facilitation, and seamless e-filing services.
    • A significant milestone was reached on October 30, 2020, with the inauguration of India’s first e-Resource Center, named “Nyay Kaushal,” in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
    • It offers a plethora of benefits, including time savings, the avoidance of physical exertion, reduced travel distances, and cost savings, courtesy of its nationwide e-filing facilities. Moreover, it empowers virtual hearings, scanning capabilities, and seamless access to e-Court services, marking a significant leap forward in the modernization of the judicial system.
    • The advent of e-Sewa Kendras and the establishment of the Nyay Kaushal e-Resource Center exemplify the transformative power of technology in the legal domain.
