A three-member delegation from the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) visited Southern Naval Command, Kochi, and the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

- The visit aimed to enhance military training exchanges between India and Jordan, following a decision made during a consultative meeting on defence cooperation in March 2023.

- They also toured the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant and ship repair facilities at Cochin Shipyard Ltd.

Jordan:

- The majority of the population, approximately 95%, practices Sunni Islam, alongside a native Christian minority.
