Operation Dost is a disaster relief mission comprising of 99 personnel of Indian Army Field Hospital and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
The Indian Army Field Hospital established their Hospital at Iskenderun, Hatay Province, Turkey on 08 Feb 2023, which included a fully functional OT and Trauma Care Centre.
The Specialists include Medical Specialist, Surgical Specialists, Anaesthetists, Orthopaedicians, Maxillofacial Surgeon and Community Medicine Specialist for rendering medical assistance to earthquake victims.
Beside this, a Lady Medical Officer has also been sent for rendering medical care to female patients/casualties.
INS Sumedha
INS Sumedha is the third ship of the indigenously built Saryu class Naval Offshore Patrol Vessels (NOPV) and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 07 Mar 2014.
Built indigenously at Goa Shipyard Limited, she is fitted with an impressive array of weapons and sensors, can carry an integral helicopter and boasts of long endurance.
Zayed Talwar
The inaugural edition of Indian Navy-UAE Navy bilateral exercise, Zayed Talwar, was conducted in March 2018, with the last edition being in August 2021.
DUSTLIK
DUSTLIK is the joint military exercise between the Indian Army and Uzbekistan Army.
The 4th edition of the exercise commenced on 20th February 2023 in Foreign Training Node, Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand).
The 14 days long joint exercise would focus on joint counter-terrorist operations in mountainous and semi-urban scenario under UN mandate.
It will also include field training exercises, combat discussions, lectures, demonstrations and culminate with a validation exercise.
